Chapter 9 All about VID (visual interface design)

 Chapter 9

So, as I was talking about VID (visual interface design) in the previous chapter, VID is nothing but an interface design. As you can see in the picture below Visual interface is a digital interface or UI of any digital screen.

Let me explain with an example :

Imagine you're designing a website for a new pizza place. VID, or Visual Interface Design, is like dressing up that website to make it super eye-catching and easy to use, just like choosing the perfect outfit for the pizza place!

Here's how it works:

  • Colours and Fonts: Picking the right colours and fonts is like choosing the coolest shirt and pants for the website. You want the colours to be inviting and appetizing, maybe like warm reds and yellows for the pizza theme, and fonts that are clear and easy to read, like a fun, chunky one for the headlines.

  • Layout and Images: Think of this as arranging the furniture in the pizza place. You want the website to be organized, with the menu easy to find (like the counter with all the yummy pizzas!), pictures of the pies making your mouth water (like mouthwatering posters on the walls!), and buttons to order placed where someone could easily "tap" them (like the bell you ring to call the waiter!).

  • Interactivity: This is like adding fun activities to the pizza place! Maybe the website has a game where you build your own pizza or lets you watch live videos of the pizzas being made in the kitchen. It's all about making the experience exciting and engaging.

So, VID is basically making the website look awesome and work smoothly, just like you'd decorate and organize a cool pizza place to make everyone want to come in and grab a slice!

Remember, the goal is to make the website so friendly and fun that using it feels like hanging out in the best pizza place ever! That's what VID is all about! check out this book : https://amzn.to/4cbkm21
